Blog? I have a blog?

Well, yes, I am forgetful. But I have been busy, and trying to squeeze in all the time I can with my two friends and the rest of my family before I leave for Arkansas on the seventeenth. Getting closer now. Today was my last day at work. Will miss the gang there. Worked on the WTR today...got most of it done, supposed to finish it tomorrow. Hope mom does not kill me, or worse, take away my internet privileges :P G'night!

Remember the Alamo, Save the Whales

Am now back from San Antonio. Managed to get the family to go to the Alamo THREE TIMES. Okay, so, well, one time was only because my little sister left her camera there, but hey, it’s still cool. However, the place truly gives me goosebumps...the idea of people having fought and died on the ground I’m standing on...quite sombering, really. Went to the zoo as well, and Sea World. I got to pet a dolphin, which is quite cool. My dad thinks Shamu is just the coolest thing (and he is). We saw the Shamu show five times, no kidding. There are some really cool shows there...love the Beluga whales.

And now I am home. Good to be home, but I could totally live in San Antonio. (Even if we did have to stay off the streets because the Spurs won and my word, those people are almost psychopathic about their basketball team). I now have a pressed penny collection...I only have five of them, but it’s a start. Got a cool t-shirt at the Alamo (and four pressed pennies), and my sister got me a cool little ceramic jar with the Alamo on the outside and “Courage” painted in black. It’s really cute. Also bought a keychain and a stuffed seal at Sea World. All in all had a great time.

Wow. I'm really bad at this.

I haven't posted in here in six days. I'm almost as bad at this as I am at writing in my REAL journal. Anyhow, not much is happening. I got my iPod on Friday...I'm very impressed with how quick Apple got it to me. I ordered it Tuesday night and it was here by Friday afternoon. And I didn't even pay the extra ten dollars for two-day shipping. Very cool. It's a blue iPod mini, and it came with free engraving so I got James 1:3 put on the back (most of the verse, anyhow.) It says "The trying of your faith worketh patience." It was really a bear trying to find a quote that would fit in the little bitty space. They give you two lines, twenty-three characters on each, to work with, so there's not much room. But I like what I have, so it all worked out.

I have named the iPod "Barrie" (my family is odd, we name all our computer stuff. My laptop is "Chomsky", my desktop hard drive is "Asimov", my USB thumb drive is "Wells", my digital camera is "Cavelos"...They're all named after authors. (Sir James Matthew Barrie, Norm Chomsky, Isaac Asimov, H.G. Wells, Jeanne Cavelos).

On a side note, I've been made assistant editor of this newspaper on my favorite role-playing site. Very cool. (Site is at www.lotrplaza.com - I'm now assistant editor of the White Tree Registry in Gondor).

Not much else going on...I'm here at work waiting for everyone else to finish so I can go home...Peace out.

These are hilarious...

I laughed at these for an hour. They're apparently screencaps of subtitles from some bootleg version of the Fellowship of the Ring. Half of what's funny, though, is the person's comments about them:

The big, cruel world...

Getting ready for work...Well, now I’m ready, but I was getting ready. I mean, I’m not interrupting my getting ready-ness so I can post in this blog. As you can tell, I’m not fully awake yet, either.

Had a lovely time yesterday. Will have to go over there again sometime, I think.

My muses are finally cooperating, and I’ve done a good bit of writing in my latest story over the past few days.

My best friend is in Missouri. She’s babysitting for her brother (her brother’s kids, I mean), and she’s not coming back until the end of June. And then, she’ll be here about a week before she goes to her mom’s in Dallas. So basically, my best friend isn’t going to be here for but a couple weeks before I leave for college. Life is cruel.

Well, my duck is stuck in a tree. I know that sounds weird, but she is. So I have to go help them help her get down. (Basically by shaking a bowl of corn at her and hoping she gets smart enough to come down.)

Title? Who needs a title?

Woke up rather late this morning. About a half hour ago, to be precise. I should be ashamed of myself, really. But hey, it's the weekend and I have to be at work at 8:30 in the morning. We're going over to some old friends' house this afternoon for some church time stuff...Really, truly am looking forward to it. I was kind of upset because Dad said they might start doing church things with these people more often, and here I am about to leave...Then he told me there's a good church I should check out up in Arkansas...about an hour and a half away from Clarksville, so I wasn't so unhappy anymore. Now, if I can just talk someone into giving me a ride since I *cough* won't have a CAR *cough* Two months one week til Arkansas!

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y!

What's that? Oh, yes, I concur. I really must stop naming my entries after the days of the week. After all, there are only seven of them, and I'm going to run out soon. I'll try a song title next time. A song title that doesn't include the name of the day of the week. Very bored here in Dallas. Should like very much to go home. (To my beautiful MAC. I despise Windows. Evil library computer.) I have my laptop with me, but I have no internet connection on it, so I am forced to use this P.C. (Which I have decided stands for "Piece of Crud.") Should be getting my iPod soon. I'm stuck between blue and silver, though, color-wise. Polled seniors (are we still seniors now that we've graduated?) but I got two responses...One for blue, one for silver. So, now I'm back to square one. If anyone happens to be reading this, please, leave your opinion.

Mom's birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrate it today...whenever we get home. Suppose I should go find something fun to do...
